‘97 Ranger 4.0 4x4 Sputtering off of Freeway.
Recently trying to get this truck up to pass Texas emissions. Truck came from Nebraska, so slight rust, but her name is Kandace because she’s fun to drive and will probably get you in trouble. Manual 4.0. Very recently replaced hydraulic clutch system, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate. Upper and lower intake gaskets, Evap purge valve, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil change.
idles, shifts and runs well until I’m on Freeway for short periods or stop and go. Then fuel pressure just slowly disappears when slowing down. Attempting to accelerate is just chugs till death. Sits for awhile. I come back in the evening and drive it home. Spark is there. Needed a place to vent my tech woes. Hopefully you folks could help, thanks .
