1993 ranger 4.0 oil leak
Well my ranger has a oil leak(bought it like this) and the weather is getting warmer so i'm thinking about tackling the issue. Its a slow leak and seems to only leak after the engine is started, but once the truck has been parked for a while i believe the leak eventually stops (not 100% certain). i have uploaded some photos from underneath the truck that i just took, and in one photo you can see where it drips from.
I'm no mechanic and identifying parts can be a challenge for me.
Okay so my question is, is the location where i circled on the photo, the same location where the rear main seal is located?
is the blue painted part in the photo considered the oil pan, if not plz identify for me. Thx
Also, in the photos i'm looking from the driver side right behind the front wheel.

The blue part is considered the oil pan on the bottom. The 4.0 was notorious for rear main seal leaks. The rear main seal would be up in between the engine and trans. The entire bottom of the engine is covered going up the sides. See how far it goes up the engine. Upper oil pan gasket leak, or valve cover leak. Rear main is also possible. Or spray it off and see where it starts to come back from, check regularly. Note: Replacing seals can cause others to start leaking else where. Results may vary.

It is very hard to change oil pan gasket in a Ranger with engine in place, 4x4 complicates it even more.
