1998 4.0 OHV engine interchangeability?
 

Cracked block in my 1998 4.0. What other years or models will drop right in? I've been told the Explorer motor will work, but if so, will it bolt right up to my manual transmission?

If I were you I'd do a v8 swap. And the 2001 tranny from an f150 I think will fit if you want to keep it a stick. Do some research but that's what I would do.
