Hi I’m coming up on 90k and time to replace the spark plugs. Do folks recommend replacing the wires and coil pack at the same time or just leave well enough alone? Thanks for your input.
I'd inspect the wires' insulation for degradation. The wires in my '05 look 'soft and subtle'.
The few times I've replaced wires, operation improved BUT I likely changed the plugs too.
Coil packs last a long time. I'd inspect for cracks and any evidence of tracking (carbon burns)
STORY:
I secretly replaced plugs, cap, rotor and wires on my sister's Jeep Cherokee at 100k.
The next time I saw her, she asked, "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY TRUCK?"
She was pleased.
