Icon4 4.0 crank pulley

just to give uns all a heads up if ya dont all ready dont know about the crank pulleys on the 4.0's. mine came apart meaning the metal ring slid back off the rubber underneath it, luckily i caught mine b4 it came the whole way off. it sounds like a chirping belt or a alternator but the sound is down low on the engine, ford techs says all the 4.0 engines will do this eventually, i just picked a new 1 up for mine & the bolt it was 210$ & my truck is a 04 with 41k miles on it so just a heads up 4 ya guys with the 4.0, not sure bout the 3.0 i didnt ask

Yeah I know what you mean. Mine did the same a few years ago and my crank snapped right at the pulley. New engine and 2 grand later it was fixed.
