Needs to be 1997 and up for both, Crank, connecting rods, and pistons should work, but what would be the point?
If you are looking for higher compression you should use the 95TM OHV heads(they have the best flow), with the 1990-1994 4.0l pistons that should be about 10:1 so more than the SOHC

The blocks are not that different from the outside and the OHV block is not any stronger than the SOHC block. The SOHC block can have more stress on it than the OHV block because the SOHC puts out considerably more power. The SOHC engine uses a kind of cradle or girdle in the pan area to help reinforce the block. I don't think the OHV engine has that but I could be wrong on that.
The SOHC heads would not work on the OHV block even if they would fit because you would not have anything to drive the cams. That means the valves would not function. You would be better off have your OHV heads flowed by a professional or use the heads RonD's suggestion.
