4.0 sohc
 

what is the first year for the 4.0 sohc?
i am looking into getting a new truck and was just wondering because i dont want a 4.0 ohv.

2001...recommend a 2002+ tho the 2001 had timing chain issues..

Welcome Don. yes i wouldnt recommed the auto eather it hates bigger tires. just one FYI on the manuals around 50000-70000 the clutch slave cylinder goes out. it sucks cause its inside the trans might as well put a clutch in while your in there. thats the only bad thing about it... cheap to fix the part is if you know how to work on vehicals

Just replaced that. . . Pain in butt, but; not too bad.
55K miles.

I still wouldn't get anything but a manual, but; that is just my opinion.
