Icon5 4.0 sohc slow off the line

hey whats up... i searched in other topics but nothing answered my question. i have a 2004 XLT 4x4 with the 4.0 and 5 spd. off the line at low rpms (800- +/- 1800) the truck seems very very sluggish. like its falling on its face until it hit like 2500 rpm or so then it pics up becomes avile and goes. is this normal or what? my mods i have (which i dont think would make a diff but ill put them on the table) are 40 series flowmaster dumped and its a 2.5 in catback, the air box silencer removed, 265/75r16 tires and thats all. going around a corner i can barely barely spin a tire. it also has a 8.8 with 4.10 ls. so with the 410's i thought it would have more get up... any help

The pushrod 4.0 doesn't really like high RPMs.

If I'm in too high of a gear for the speed then it wont move. If you want it to pull just keep it above 2000.

I did my first tune up at 60K miles. Plugs looked ok. I did the 104000 miles. I was way over on that.

Yeah. Just cycle the key like 2 or 3 times and it will be fine. Pull the fuel pump fuse and let the engine die before you try to take off the filter.
