I am currently having problems with my reverse lights not working. I have already changed the fuse and have come to the conclusion it is a problem with the reverse light sensor. I am not sure where to locate this other than it is on the transmission. Can anyone help me locate it and tell me how to change it out?

 

I think in some of the newer vehicles it is tied into the neutral safety switch. And should be under the dash.

 

The switch is located on the transmission. If its an automatic, it combined with the transmission range sensor. If its a manual, the switch is a stand alone screw-in with two wires. In either case the wire colors should be purple with orange stripe (power) and black with pink stripe (to the lights).
