Agree take the fram filter back and get the motorcraft. Cost like 3.50.

Engine has 150,000 miles on it and the timing chains stripped out of it and I'm pretty sure did more damage than it's worth fixing for the labor and mileage of the engine.

Transmission was rebuilt last year by some guys that are crooks. Was never right after them, they voided my warranty and have only tried to write me off since. I payed them a grand just to rebuild it, It was even out and put in by someone else. Live and learn.

So, I decided to go ALL out and fix my truck.

Purolator makes the Motorcraft filters but the internal filter media is specified by Ford.

Here's the link for M&S Auto Parts, M&S Auto Parts

I got a few discounts thanks to my shops benefits, but I was surprised how much I was able to bargain with them. Originally when my manager and I found the engine and trans they were priced at $700 & $550 with a $100 core for both and then almost $80 or so in tax. You do the math.. I payed $1,200 and owe them two cores in exchange for a $100 bucks. They delivered for FREE too.. I'm very pleased. I'm going to ask them to stop and get the old parts so I won't have to deliver..

Putting everything together this week, I'll update through the progress.
