mbrp question

im looking at getting an mbrp cat back system but im just wondering if there is a difference in sound between the turn down style and the full pipe style? i would rather have a full pipe but the price is a lot more for that one. and i guess i could always just have it pop out in front of the tire if i really wanted to. but if anyone knows if there is a difference in the sound or what know i would appreciate it greatly.

I have the turndown kit and it resonates abit in the cab. I'm guessing the full kit would put that sound behind the truck as opposed to under it. Worse case, buy turndown kit. See if you like it, if not head to a muffler shop and get an extension or keep the stock pipe just incase. My buddy and I did mine and he kept the stock one for a spare in case I changed my mind but never did.

Yeah anything you "dump" the exhaust it's going to resonate pretty good, at least it did when I had that on my truck. But people on here do it all the time. A full exhaust, like you said, will exit all of the sound to the rear of the vehicle and have a slightly lower sound to it.

Keeping the stock pipe like Morris said is a good idea.
