recently showed up ... noticed it a little yesterday, worse today.

normally my truck idles at / around 750 rpm ... today when i was on the way home from work, every red light ... after 15 sec of not moving, the rpm would drop below 500. thought it was going to stall. then after a few, it would go back up. then drop right back again.

and man this is scaring me. Any suggestions or ideas? Is it something I can fix in my driveway? or should I bring it to the mechanic at my work tomorrow?

that's probably normal.. mine did that every once in a while

 

It could be the IAC.

Try taking it off and see if it needs to be cleaned.

 

2nd IAC, but I had no luck cleaning it - I replaced it and problem was solved.

 

Alright I'll check it out today. PW01 how much was a new one?

 

fixed ... cleaned the throttle body valve ... all set.
