93 Ranger stx

i got a 93 ranger that shifts hard at 25 mph it has a thump when it does it it sound like it comes from the rear

it could be your u joints you need to check all of them.

Thaks When I Took The Drive Shaft Off The U Joints They Move Easy There Not Stiff But When It Is On The Truck They Dont Move

Is your truck an auto or 5spd ? If it's an auto check the fluid levels. Level gets low the tranny won't shift out properly. Had the problem once and thought it was coming from the rear as well.
