I've been battling with a vacuum leak for the past few weeks now. In the process of re-installing my upper manifold after changing all the gaskets I cracked my upper EGR pipe leading into the upper manifold just past the EGR valve. I was unable to remove it due to the rust. Unfortunately, JB Weld is only a temporary fix and I need to change this pipe because my truck still has symptoms of a vacuum leak. The only problem is this picture below. Typically there's a nut there - what the hell happened to mine? Any advice on how to go about changing this? I supposed I could remove the lower pipe that connects to the lower exhaust manifold, but doesn't look like I have much room to work a wrench in. I do not want to do an EGR delete.
