Noisy power steering pump - no leaks.

Title says it all. I've taken it to a shop before to get my coolant temperature gauge fixed and the mechanic found 5 different leaks, one of which happened to be power steering, which he has since fixed. The pump no longer groans when I turn (unless I cut it ALL the way to the left or right (I know, that's bad for my power steering but it happens from time to time)), however, it just flat out groans all the time and since the belt spins faster when I rev it, so does the power steering pulley which makes the noise a little louder.

My power steering works fine and I have no power steering leaks.

That said, if I want to eliminate my power steering pumps groaning, should I just go ahead and buy a new pump? It "sounds" like it to me

Ford power steering pumps are not quiet, that being said if you think it is louder than "usual" then yes, replace it.

I tried the power steering fix, it didn't quiet the noise. Is there a quiet after market power steering pump out there? I hate not being able to hear my engine the way I'm supposed to be able to.
