if i just want a constant added power should i just buy the bama chip. and since my truck is a stick will i really feel the difference from the chip?

Do you have a 4.0 or a 3.0?

I would get the programer instead of the chip.

That way you can change the setting whenever you want and you have 3 settings, not just 1, or whatever comes with the chip.

Also if you ever upgrade with tires or any engine mods, they can re-program the programer to what you have.

You will feel the diff when you see 90mph go by and you keep on pulling!!!!

I am running an xcal2 on my truck and it is a stick. Seemed peppier when I put the performance tuning in it.

i'm thinking of getting the programmer some time this summer. i have the 4.0 SOHC with a manual also. do you run 93 octane? do you have to?

From what i understand, with a programmer, you can have 3 different performance settings. 1 can be regular 87 or 89 octane, and 2 could be 93, and so on. If you are running the 93 setting, YES of course you have to run 93 octane fuel. But if you dont want to use 93, you can go back down to your 89 or 87 octane setting, or back to stock.
