BamaChips/Check Engine Question
I posted this question in general discussion but probably should have put it here.
I have a tuner that was programmed from bamachips and I put my truck back to the stock program last night. For some reason driving home today my check engine light came on and I pulled the codes and got 4 dtc codes come up. Should I just clear the codes out? The light never came on until I put it back to stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
tell us what the codes are then go from there......

Here are the codes I pulled:
P0174 P0171 P1000 P0230 |
Can anyone help with these codes that I have pulled?

The First Two is what is causing it. Usually caused by a hole in the PCV Elbow or Crankcase vent not being connected. As such is trips up the PCM and messes with your Air/Fuel Ratio. Can be caused by not having oil cap on too.

The first 2 codes are lean codes but the 4th one is a fuel pump code. May be related. P1000 is just a reset code - no biggie. |
It was a vacuum hose, it was causing all of the codes to come up and also causing my truck to idle very rough, now is all fixed. I still need to clean my TB though but glad the other problems are fixed!
