From my experience, the Flowmaster 40 series gets raspy at higher RPMs, i've used both si/do and the si/so version. I'd suggest the Borla ProXS, same deepness as the flow 40 but none of the raspiness, and sounds great at the higher RPMs so would benefit the 4.0L SOHC.

imo....i've ran Dynomax Ultra FLo Oval, Flowmaster Super 40, Magnaflow, Flowmaster Original 40....

And found the Super40 as being the best sounding, best performing of the muff's i've ran. Yes, you can hear it in the cab, but it's not as bad as my current Original 40. I've followed my truck with both the Super40 and the Original40, and found the Super40 sounded best when following the vehicle as well.

The Super44 is basically the exact same muffler as the Super40, but in a more compact case.

I actually plan on redoing my exhaust(AGAIN!) using either a Super40 or Super44 with duals as my final exhaust setup.

bolt ons...jeeze. FAR cheaper to have a system bent up for the truck at an exhaust shop.

Dude, you have no idea! I absolutly LOVE it.. The one thing i was worried about was the dreaded ricer sound.. Well, there is none.. actually kinda makes my truck sound like its got a bigger engine in it than it actually does.. ive had a few people ask if ive got a V8... lol.
