A/C clicking and slow to cool

I have a 2001 with the 4.0. It does get cold but it takes a bit and whenever the A/C is on there is a clicking noise from I think the compressor. Any ideas what this may be? Someone mentioned a preasure switch might be bad somewhere i think.

Compressor clutch cycling is normal. However, if the compressor clutch is kicking on and off every couple of seconds, it usually means that the Cycling Switch is indicating low pressure. It could be a bad switch but it's more likely that the system is low on refrigerant.
