has anybody ever had their ac clutch lock up ?

.....My compressor locked up n blew the clutch clean off on my 4.0......

Yes I have. On older cars.. but yes.

Pull the electrical connector going to it and make sure it's a mechanical problem.

i unpluged it an it spun freely...do they have an elecric clutch?

yes

It will run if you have certain settings of heat on.
