What's this thing?

This thing is slowly dripping coolant, I just want to know what it's called so I can tell Ford to fix it under my warranty. Thanks.

heater control? idk thats what i call it. it cuts off the flow of coolant to the heater core when the heat is off
wash that motor before you go for warranty work

it wouldnt be a check valve because it doesnt allow coolant to only flow one way, it cuts off coolant flow

Heater control valve or Coolant control valve is what the workshop manual refers to it as

oh i just ask for a check valve at checker and thats what i got.

must be an newer 4.0 thing, mine doesnt have one of those. that i can remember

thats crazy my 3.0 99 has it lol well now he knows what it is should help him out x2 on the engine clean they"ll consider that abuse and wont cover warrenty.

you should have one beard, my 3.0 has one and my dads 93 even had one, it may be kind of hidden after the BL and all the other shenannigans you have under there. itll be very odd if it doesnt though

I have one. I just used the vacuum line going to it the other week.
