Need Torque Spec's

I have the manual for my 08 4.0 Ranger but have not been able to find the torque requirements for the oil pan drain plug and the oil filter.

I need to get another service manual to supplement what I have but for now, can anyone give me the t/spec's for these two items.

drain plug= snug, oil filter= hand tight. you dont need to torque these. when putting the oil filter back on, dont use the wrench. it really only needs to be hand tight. any tighter then it will be a ***** to get off next time.

^^haha....yup. Definately agree to that.

Typically the filter is 1/4 turn past when the gasket meets the block. How would you determine the torque when tightening the oil filter anyway? You using a K&N with a nut on the bottom?

Straight From Ford for an '08 4.0L SOHC:

Oil Filter: 115 in/lbs
Oil Drain: 19 ft/lbs

Thanks, I don't like to just snug if I don't have to. I've been torqueing oil filters on motorcycle for the last 9 years and have had very good luck with them. I know hand tight is okay, it's the oil pan drain plug I worry about.

Thanks for the help.
