Want to do headers but am unsure of something

I want to install a pair of JBA Cat4Ward shorty headers (stainless steel) on my truck, but I don't know which set to get, I am unsure if I have an EGR and if I do which side it is on. Does anyone know?

Yes, your 2008 4.0L has EGR and the EGR tube is on the driver side exhaust manifold.

For sound and look, its not worth it.

1 you can barely see them with the hood open.

2 They sound more like an exhuast leak then good engine noise. Mostly because the tube thickness is way less then the cast manifold thickness.

These engines just don't flow enough air to get a good rumble going.

If ya want sound, go with an MBRP cat back.
Best low rumble exhaust I've heard on these 4.0's
