Chewed Up Wires

Hello I have 93 Ford Ranger with a 4.0L and I have a couple of chewed wires and no idea where they went. They are like a Dark Grey/Red and Green wire coming from the main harness on the DS of the engine bay? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It really doesn't look like factory wiring with that cobble of electrical tape at that point. My guess it's someone's DIY work.

How long have you owned this truck in both time and miles?
I agree with the above. It appears someone removed their toy before they sold the vehicle.
I'd get a wiring diagram in color.
Have you tried measuring either conductor for available voltage to ground? Measure OFF, IGN ON and RUNNING.
Measure continuity to ground too.

Big ole rat poop next to chewed wires. Rat chewed the wires. Make sure check rest of engine compartment.
