02 Ranger 4.0 sohc throttle body

Hello warriors. My 02 Ranger has been idling rough and after firing the parts cannon, and finding a leak with a smoke test on the left side, I took the TB apart and lo and behold there are two small O rings on the shaft. I got a diameter of 12 mm on the shaft, so I ordered 13mm OD, 10mm ID 1.5mm thick O rings and see if I can fix the leak. Couldn't find bushings, but someone mentioned those are melted in. A guy in China was selling a rebuild TB on eBay for $104, but I wanted to try this first. The side of the shaft where the cable is, gets way more force on it, so makes sense it would start leaking there. Idle is rough, and I have no other vacuum leaks. 147,000

So what are you going to check next? How's the overall condition of the truck?
Plugs and wires?
A dose of Techron before a stint of local driving?

Plugs and wires motorcraft, new after market coil pack (have spark) I'm going to change the PCV valve, just because the one on there is old, and sometimes you can't tell if they're operating correctly from the shake test. I've had this motor in and out 3 times. I'll start another thread on how I got here. Might try the Techroline. 👍 For now fixing the throttle body.

Update: diameter of butterfly shaft is not 12mm. Have to re measure. Got the wrong O rings
