Get ready for three pages of people telling you not to do it. I'll go first, don't do it.

Volant is a real CAI kit. Just google Volant CAI Ranger. I have A K&N it comes with a small heat shield. But doesn't stop all the hot air from coming in.

The Ranger already has a cold air intake. Examine your vehicle and see where it draws the intake air from. Mine sucks from behind the right headlight. Better to get a low restriction air filter.

i put the 77series on my truck and it did make a difference but so did paying of the damn thing hey if you guys ever do go with a CAI i would put a prefilter on it, man i have had my cold air intake for 3 years and washed my filter maybe a few times but i have to wash my prefilter like every few months wash it with the k&n filter cleaner but just the cleaner dont use the oil when i wash my filter, i use the CRC MAF cleaner and that stuff seems to help with torque and when i polish the tube i use the CRC Throttle body cleaner to swab the intake tube believe it or not that even helps but i mean microscopically but yeah for 300bucks buy some headers or a catback

Volant Cold Air Intake, Volant Intakes
then it goes on to say
Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one. obviously this is not realistic for our 4.0
