Having a few problems
So I have been fighting to get rid of my stupid check engine light for a year now. My truck is a 98 with 218xxx miles on it.
The first code is running lean in bank 2 sensor 1. I have replaced the intake gaskets, fuel injector o-rings, cleaned and tested the fuel injectors, replaced the IAC, replaced the MAF, I have checked all vacuum lines and hoses and there is no leak, I have also replaced all the o-sensors. I have no idea what to check for now, I have just about replaced everything that could cause this code to come on, but the EGR but I have doubts that it could be the EGR because to me if the EGR was stuck open it would cause both banks to run lean and only bank 2 sensor 1 is running lean.
The second problem is I have a misfire on cylinder 3, now I know the head on the drivers side is cracked because I have seen coolant drip from the cylinder 5 area, only did it once though. I am pretty positive that the head on the passenger side is probably cracked as well as I have to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 3 and 2 just about every month due to a bad misfire. This one here I just want confirmation on it being a cracked head as I am not going to replace the heads if they are cracked, I'm done putting money and that much labor into this pos engine.
Anyways I need to get this check engine light off by January as my truck goes in for emissions then and the light cant be on. As for the heads being cracked if they are, I'll just keep throwing spark plugs in every month and filling the coolant until next summer when I do the 5.0L swap.

Ok a little update. I pulled the egr and checked to make sure it was operational and it is, it doesn't stay open and when no vacuum is applied it remains closed. So I am now completely stumped as to why the truck is running lean in bank 2 sensor 1.
I also pulled all my spark plugs and none of the insulators on them are broke, but the misfire still remains. Also its cylinder 6 that has the coolant leak, the spark plug out of that cylinder had lots of signs of coolant being in it. So I know the leak is getting worse. Hopefully it will at least last me until income tax time.
