Determine the year of engine.

What is the year of my 4.0 SOHC V6 that has a number on the left head.....98TM609OAD ? That is the only identifier I could find.

A 98TM head is on an OHV not a SOHC engine.

That head fit several years engines, if it's an original head on your engine it's a 98 - 2000

The SOHC was first used in 2001 in Rangers

Welcome to the forum

You don't have a 4.0l SOHC, its a 4.0l OHV(used 1990-2000 in a few Fords), 98TM heads were used 1998-2000 on these engines
