Dorman thermostat housing 9021998

The coolant sensor needs replacing and I cannot get a part #. I believe the sensor has a 12x1.5 metric thread as opposed to the original clip in style on the O.E.M.
I may have made a mistake having someone put this Dorman thermostat housing in as the O.E.M. had 2 sensors in it, and when I got the truck back from the repair shop it had only one sensor on the housing and no sign of another sensor connection. Dorman Automotive cannot help me with a part # as the say they only sell the housing as a complete unit with the sensor in it. Unfortunate the shop that did the work is not taking responsibility.
Thoughts on this are welcome. Oh, my truck is a 2008 Ranger FX4 with a 4L SOHC.

Called the ECT sensor, (engine coolant temp) sensor

2008 just has the one and no Temp Sender like older models(digital dash is why)

SW-6146 was the last part number for it, it replaced the old part number 3F1Z-10884-AA

But these were clip in not threaded

But if new housing need threaded its not a problem just get the older style

This one: Duralast gold coolant temperature sensor su284dg

Comes with connector and splice kit in case the new sensor doesn't match your 2008 connector

The sensor you have suggested appears to have too large a threaded base to fit the dorman housing which has a M12x 1.25 threaded port

Strongly recommend ordering+installing a correct version of the ThermoStatHousing,
upgrading to Aluminum, instead of any NotoriouslyLeakyJunkPlastic Original\AfterMarket\Dorman version,
properly configured for the original single ClipMount TempElement "Sensor\Sender".
If you get a Housing by mistake
with the 2nd ClipMountHole, that can easily be plugged with a PipePlug\Bolt+RTV,
or with a wrong ThermoStat~Radiator HoseBarb+TriFlange, the old Plastic HoseBarb+TriFlange can be used with the new AluminumHousing.
