dual wire, single wire ets

I have a 2000 ranger 4x4 it was throwing a po1116 ets code. I replaced the dual wire ets and a new thermostat . I made it seventy miles before it threw the code again. There is a single wire sensor in the intake on the right front.(passanger side) When I looked up ets sensors at the parts store it has a listing for two ets sensors. Has anyone had this problem?

I'm not familiar with your year engine.. but generally there are two temp sensors. One is for the PCM and the other is for the temp guage on your dash.

The gauge works fine. Just dont know what else would cause the ets to be out of cycle.
