cat ?

anybody from my home state of connecticut and running a 4.0 ranger with a cat removed or running some high flow cat? thinking of removing my last cat and just wanna know if i do this i wont get into trouble because i know our emissions are tighter then a nun's ***

Rangers come from the factory with high flow cats. You won't gain anything by removing it.

yea not really trying to gain hp, just maybe a little more deeper throatyer sound
, im gonna be underneath my truck anyways to install my edelbrock sdt, figure i try something with the cats

Only if you want to fail emissions. They do use the **** probe system on the truck in addition to reading the computer.

i really doubt it will change the reading on the system by removing the last one, but i have no proof. im running 2 aftermarket cats with no CEL, but indiana could care less.

It's against Federal law to remove the cat converters from any vehicle equipped with them. I believe it's a $2,500 fine.

High-flow cats are ok, just aslong as you have something...

which he will still have 3, the 3 alone will probably let him pass emissions.

sweet, well the last ones coming off and if the cel comes on then so does the cat

I honestly wouldn't screw with the cats. Just get a better muffler and tips.

i decided not to cut out the last cat, but instead i want to install 2 magnaflow cats.planet magnaflow had 4 cats listed, not really sure which ones to get,, anybody know which part number i should look for?

Do you need new cats? Yes? No? If not then you wont gain any power or much if any sound with the Magnaflow cat.
