EGR Tube Cutting

I was bored today and I remembered a free mod that the Camaro guys do. I noticed that when I opened the throttle that the EGR tube sticks out kind of far and it blocks some on the air flow from the throttle body. I had everything off already since I was cleaning the IAC valve so I decided what the hell I'll chop it. My truck doesn't have an EGR valve but the tube is there with a block off plate. I chopped the tube so it wasn't in the way of the incoming air. I didn't notice any improvement. I was just bored and I thought I would share. Sorry no pics.

I did notice a bit more throttle response and now there wont be a tube collecting all the crap from the crank case and blocking the air even more. I'll get pics of it vs a uncut one. When I pulled the tube out there was a nice thick layer of black crap all over it. I'm not running a K&N filter either so it's obviously not the problem.
