Engine compatability

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge FX4 Super with the 4.0L SOHC. I have to replace the engine.I found a 2007 Ford Ranger 4.0L SOHC engine with 20,000. I need to know if it will swap out the same.

I think they will swap out. Who knows there might be some retarded little difference in them
