Engine does not shut off

Engine does not shut off

Engine will not shut off even with the keys out of the ignition. Replaced the ignition switch and it did not correct it anyone else have this issue?

Is it running now?
The replacement ign. key cylinder could be not tested and bad from the box.
The starting relay's run circuit could be stuck.

Were there any odd occurrences leading up to this?

I replaced the ignition switch not the ignition cylinder with the key. It starts and runs fine

edit: When it runs on, how long will it go on for?
