Engine is stalling after tune up
Hello everyone I’m in need of some help asap I have just done a bit of a tune up to my 1998 ford ranger xlt 4.0 V6 2wd truck i replaced all the spark plugs and wires i replaced the fuel filter replaced the front brakes and i had to replace the vacuum operated heater control valve(broke the old one replacing the passenger side spark plugs) and now the engine will start and idle and rev up but it’s hard starting, when I press on the gas pedal the engine will drop to 500 rpm then will rev up and when I try to put it in gear it stalls out
please help i thought I had messed up the firing order at first and originally I did have it wrong but now I’m not sure I have searched for the firing order and for the order the wires should be and i keep getting different answers if top is the rear of the engine and bottom is the front of the engine 3-6 2-5 1-4 those are the cylinders the coil pack is currently setup in this order but I have seen some diagrams that have the foreign order as 3-6 2-4 1-5 and others that show this order 3-4 2-5 1-6 and still others that show 3-6 2-5 1-4 xan someone please help me |
Coil for 4.0 OHV should be
3-4 2-6 1-5 |
