PCV clogged?

I recently found a vacuum leak on the 90 deg rubber piece going from my PCV vacuum line which gos into my throttle body. After replacing the piece today I have noticed that the rubber hose is completely collapsed. I then removed the plastic hose to check for clogs and there were none. Any ideas?

How would lean fuel make a hose fitting collapse?

Actually if you dont mind checking that would be great. I pulled one from the junk yard and seems to be a really soft rubber which collapses really easy. I was up at Krug Ford and they wanted me to buy the entire vacuum set up for like 38 bucks, but i noticed that the elbow is a much harder rubber which would do perfect. So yeah let me know what you come up with.
