I don't want to be a A$$ but this topic has been exhausted (no pun intended) Use the search function, you will see that it has been covered at length numerous times......

I dont like when people just say "do a search buddy" but this has been covered....... ALOT. Even recentally. I recomend getting up with people around you that have rangers and check theirs out. If you do a search you will find as many reasons something is good as you will find why the same one sounds like But!

Check the websites of the major players, they should have information there as well.

Magnaflow, Borla, and a last resort Flowmaster. Gibson sounds pretty good too!

Magnaflow/Borla (sound relatively the same) or Flowmaster....Gibson if you want more of a quiet exhaust. Flowmaster is the loudest of the bunch, Magnaflow and Borla arnt to far behind, more of a deep tone to Magnaflow & Borla.

Alot of guys got Flowmaster on there trucks and just as many have Magnaflow and Borla, it comes down to, how loud do you want it, how much do you want to spend, and how hard does the law enforcement in your state crack down on noise. With those in mind, Flowmaster will be loudest, and cheapest out of the bunch. Magnaflow/Borla will be more of a deep tone, not quiet by any means, but being stainless steel, they do run on the pricey side

I have glasspacks and I am happy with them the sounds close to Flowmasters. IF you add an intake to the glasspacks it sounds more like a V8.

3inch back from cat to flowmaster 10 series with 3 inch tail. 3.5 inch stainless tip. Very deep and the start up makes me grin every time.

I was running no muffler with daul tailpipes, too loud. Now I'm running a Magnaflow 4" round muffler (looks like a glasspack kinda) thats only 20" long total length. I like it, not too loud in the cab. I felt an increase in low-end power as well. I will post pics soon.

a lot of you guys have said you're running a muffler with a 3" inlet, i was just wondering if you had to get a new pipe from the cat to the muffler or if the stock pipe will work?
