Exhaust on 4.0l

Im shopping around my locally buckys will do a muffler installed for 90$ or cat back for 190$ is it worth the extrad 100 for some pipe or not im not worried about sound just trying to get a little better flow before i get my tune for rogue

that sounds damn cheap. i have a cat back on mine and the sound is pretty good. if you are getting a tuner you may as well spend the extra and get it done

^Yeah I agree. You could just do a single in single out muffler with 2.5" piping if you just wanted to get better flow. You're not interested in sound, but any change over the stock muffler will create more sound but better flow. And everybody has their opinion on which manufacturer makes the best sounding muffler ie flowmaster, magnaflow, etc. Whichever you choose an aftermarket muffler and bigger piping will help with flow that you are wanting.

mine has a catback magnaflow duel system sounds pretty good

i was wondering i have an 2001 and i have like 2 cats and some little cat muffler at the bottom of the header will i get a check engine light if i remove all that and put in just one high flow cat ?? that too me is way over kill im looking for mileage and that seems super restrictive and extra weight

still sounds great and no rust. (I got the stainless steel system)

Most people will recommend on NOT removing the cats. Will it sound better, yes. But you will lose power because of loss of backpressure. Also from the factory, the cats that are on the Ranger are high-flowing catalytic converters.
