Im buiying a new muffler but i was wondering what size inlet and outlet pipe needs to be on the muffler...im not sure if i remeber right but i was thinking 2.5"?

you can run whatever size you want if your upgrading the whole thing but if your going to the muffler shop to have it put on they'll know!! As far as stock size yes i believe its 2.5".

 

My 02 XLT has a 2". I got a 2.5 in and out. Just got a adapter for the inlet and ran 2.5 out of back. I just did it like 2 feet and dumped it though.
