Exhaust question...what type (not brand) of muffler...

If one were to have a shop make an exhaust system (single in, single out, factory style but with 2.5" from the cat-back) what in & out orientation would one buy a muffler? Offset intake/output, straight through intake/output, etc? Wondering what fits best on my Ranger to keep the factory type routing.

If you want more details, it boils down to a neighbor mechanic who is picky like me, has stainless pipe, a mandrel bender, and a welder at the shop he works at. A few bucks and a Saturday morning of his time would save me alot.

i think its offset will allow you to keep your factory routing

Anymore specifics? I know there are some that are centered at the inlet and offset and the outlet, vise versa, etc.

Nice...if you get a free minute, can you take a pic underneath?
