explorer 4.0 ohv coolant leak

hey. i came down to va beach (drove ranger 500 miles) and my cousin who lives down here and im staying with said their explorer is leaking coolant and he thinks its the water pump. so i say ill help him. we went over to the truck, and changed out the water pump. not a bad job at all. so we fill it up and get ready to start it. its pouring coolant out of something behind the alternator. BUT it does start and run fine. there was water in the engine with a little bit of coolant before hand (orange coolant) and everything that came out was orange. oil is black, and had no milky look to the coolant that came out.

is there a feeze plug behind the alt on the head (passenger side) or anything else it could be? were tryng to get it on the road by sat.
thanks!
