Flex Fan VS. E fan
Flex Fan VS. E fan
I can possibly get a flex fan for free. But I would have to buy an efan.
I hate my fan right now because the clutch is ceased and it runs constantly. I know that a flex fan also runs constantly but a mechanic friend of mine (he is a car guy Mustang's) was trying to talk me into a flex fan and said I really didn't need to spend the money on an Efan.
How much more gain I will have with the Efan verses the Flex Fan?

why an E-fan..put it in a mudhole and add a huge bucket of water i see nothing but problems..ive talked to a few guys on here about keeping the stocker or switching and well ima keep the stocker after seeing the problems with the controllers and seeing what happens when they eat a mud hole..the extra 1-2 MPG aint worth the hassel and think if you really want more power just put a 302 in it or supercharge.. id keep the stocker

We have worked all the kinks out of our fan kits now, so they are good to go!!
If youre worried about water, what do you think happens when the stock fan or a flex fan hits the water while its spinning? If you slam it as hard as your suggesting, youre still looking at some decent damage, at least if you fry a controller with water, its cheaper to fix than when a plastic blade flies off and hits who knows what.
As to the original poster, i would forget a flex fan, keep your options between an efan or replacing your factory fan clutch.

If you tow ANYTHING, that e-fan will not keep your tranny cool. Personally, I think running those 33's will not be easy to keep her cool either, let alone towing something. I loved my e-fan when I had it installed, except for the fact I could NOT keep the tranny cool in any type of "stop and go" traffic or towing a trailer. I'm working on getting another stock shroud to try and mount it in there. I THINK that will pull enough air across the entire radiator surface to keep everything cool.
