I get a "Check Engine" Light and it shows a P1443 Ford EVAP Control System Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve Fault on my 99 Ford Ranger. I am able to clear it with my DTC but it will come back every 4-5 days.

PS: I changed the gas cap, also went to the salvage yard and got another canister and the 2 sensors, thought I had it.... Guess I was wrong.

Can someone tell me exactly what it is, where it is located and how to fix it please.

EVAP codes can be hard to clear.
Make sure gas tank level does get below 1/4 or above 3/4 while waiting for code to clear, it can take up to 10 drive cycles(1 drive cycle = driving more than 15 mins, then letting engine cool off)

EVAP system creates a negative pressure in the fuel tank when you are driving, and then seals the tank when engine is off.
This is why you often hear a "whooshing noise" when removing gas cap to refuel.
If you don't remember hearing that noise for awhile then system has an air leak and that's why you are getting the P1443 code.

You can't actually reset an EVAP code, it will just come back until computer runs the EVAP test which you can not force it to do, and it needs to get an "OK" from this test a few times before it will clear the code.
Same as it needs to get a "fail" a few times before it sets the code.

You can put a vacuum pump with gauge on the system to make sure it can hold a vacuum, so your repairs were successful.

There is a solenoid near the canister, computer opens that to allow engine vacuum to create the negative pressure in the tank.
And there is a sensor that tells computer if pressure in tank is holding or leaking.

Even though I went to the Salvage Yard and replaced both sensors and canninster doesn't mean it's fixed. I will check the hoses next then start replacing other parts.
