Removing Rotors

I just did it yesterday.
You need a 14 mm and a 15 mm socket.
Remove the wheel
There are 2 bolts on the inside of the brake that remove the caliper. (size 14)
Then slide the pads out
Then there are 2 more bolts that hold the caliper mounting bracket on (size 15)
take the bracket out and you should be good to pull the rotor off.
Just make sure not to hang the caliper by the brake line..zip tie it to the upper a-arm or something.

-get the caliper clips off(not bolts)
-get the bearing covers off
-uncauter pins and take bolt off
-slide rotors off
my rotors are whole (wheel bolts on to them) are yours like that?

Dont really have bearing covers, just the center cap from my wheels covers it.

The difference is because of the 2wd, vs 4wd.
2wd has hubs that ride on bearings, hence the grease behind the dust cap
4wd has axles that seal inside the houseing, hence no grease on the outside
4wd are easier to replace the rotors, but MUCH harder to mess with if you need to change a bearing or axle. 2wd is a dirty job because of the grease, but once you do them a couple of times, it should be pretty quick and easy.

btw i can take off the caliper, rotor and repack the bearings and reassemble in about 15 min a side...our trucks are easy as all hell...
