i hacked off my muffler right after the cat.. and it barely sounds any different! everyone that says it's loud is smoking crack. where did you cit yours off?

um, I think your the one smokin somethin, my friend has straights on his 3.0 V6 and it gets loud and ricey soundin, so I know with it cut off up under your bed, it should resonate like a mother

Maybe your cats are pretty much clogged which in turn reduces noise.

my sohc has all the cats, with a flowmaster 40 cut off before the axle. sounds pretty loud.

gut your cats, then get back to us, then youll know.... ofcourse then youll want a muffler again.

I have a muffler and it's loud, maybe you have bad taste in exhaust.

maybe hes just deaf or has very selective hearing... because anything thats just straight pipped is effing loud

I know its not the same motor but I hacked my muffler off of my '92 exploder and it was obnoxiously loud

i have straights (or a straight) with all cats and its loud. really loud. almost ricey loud imo. maybe you need to put some pipes on it from the cats back.

kyledm18's truck is the same way. my truck with duals is louder then his is right out the cats. he put the exhaust off his old truck which was loud, on his new one and its only a little louder then stock.

my 4.0L SOHC is loud but not horrible untill i put my foot to the floor with no muffler. sounds stock at idle.

i think it's just that my exhaust was always loud.. for stock. i always could hear it always the engine noise. and these ohv's are loud. maybe my cats are clogged.. any way to tell?
