is a chip worth it?

is a chip really worth the money, you dont get a big hp increase, and they're like $400, is there something im really missing on them, also what chips would you recommended

Don't waste money on a chip. Now a tuner/programmer yes, chip no. SCT xCal 3 is what most people use here.

is a tuner/programmer confusing to use, iv been looking up on them, but for most of the part it doesnt go into depth how have they work/used

Not at all. My tuner while its not the same exact thing is pretty simple to use. It comes with 3 different tunes, you can choose to run 0, stock tuning or any of the other 3 tunes. Mine also lets me change tire size, axle ratio, rev limit, speed limit, shift pressure and a few other things. I'm pretty sure the xCal3 lets you do that as well.

yeah the xcal lets you do all that. also reads codes and gives you a description. and lets you clear them :)

If you have a automatic.. then yes. If a manual.. then no.

I had a JET chip for awhile...it was only 250 i think. I noticed a little difference. mileage was slightly better it shifted smoother....

for 400 though I agree with everyone else just go with a tuner. Once you get used to the formats then its a breeze to use

I've got a tuner for my truck with a manual transmission... I mainly got it to correct my speedo for my 33" tires, it does help with power as well.

I got one, took me a few minutes to figure it out but i got it and its firly easy to use!
