has this happened to anyone?

last night, for the THIRD time, my ranger has blown the PCV hose off the intake manifold on start up. I crank the truck and I get a loud pop and nothing, crank again andit starts, but of course lopes like it has a race cam. It took me 2 days to figure out what it was the first time. why does it keep doing this?

Sounds to me like the PCV is plugged.

As your pistons move up/down and the engine is running.. you need to have a slight vacuum on the crankcase. At times there can be positive pressure too.
