Help with engine Noise

I have a 2015 Ford Ranger Edge. Actually, its my son's and he's in the Navy. He bought the truck a few months ago. Today, as he was driving onto base, it stopped. He was able to jump it and drove to his room in the barracks. he sent me a video of the sound. Does anyone have any idea what it could be, please?

Check the year. How many mlies?
A broken fan element? Maybe a loud valve rocker?
Try engaging the AC compressor at idle to see if the noise changes.
Try starting the engine cold without the fan belt off.

If you look at the link you provided, it's only been downloaded 5 times to be listened to.

Most of us are not going to download a file from an unknown person, post your video on youtube and provide link, you might get better responses.

for me pretty hard to diagnose a noise made by a cell phone. to many things it could be. to me it sounded like a rod knock or wrist pin. but I'll never say that. in person I could give a lot better diagnosis.
