HELP! Stalling

Hey everyone i got a problem that has been driving me crazy for to long. I have a 4.0 automatic 2001 ranger with about 108,000 miles on her. The problem is every time i come to a stop, after the engine is warmed up, the RPMS drop almost to a stall. Another thing i noticed was that if i put it in second gear and i can just coasting though the parking lot and put it in 1st gear the same thing happens. after the rpms drop down to about 100rpm if it doesnt stall out it will usually recover itself after 4 seconds or so. Think my tranny is going bad already? maybe the torque converter?

I hope this made sense, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

There is a possibility that the problem is caused by faulty fuel injectors.
