High idle

When the engine is fully warmed up, then shut off & restarted it will always go to a high idle around 1200 RPM for about 1/2 minute. Is this normal? Shouldn't need a warm up I think. Every now & then I get a 0128 code, is it related?

TroubleCode P0128 indicates engine is not warming up to operating temperature.
Have you recently changed the ThermoStat or done in other Coolant system maintenance?
Could be a FailedOpen Thermostat causing the engine PCM & IACValve to force the ColdHighIdle RPMs with every start.

Info on changing the ThermoStat & upgrading to an Aluminum ThermoStat Housing at
